Each year, the Scouts and Leaders of Pack 681 march in the Falls Church Memorial Day Parade, proudly displaying a float that is constructed by the Scouts and their families. This year is no exception and we need your help to design our pack's float! Please reply to this email with your family's design idea. Design ideas are due by Wednesday, May 13th.
Please keep in mind that the float design should:
· Be easily constructed by the Scouts and their families in four hours or less,
· Be constructed from cardboard, scrap wood and/or house hold items,
· Be easily painted or decorated,
· Incorporate a patriotic theme in some way.
(Hint: To get your creative juices flowing, check out photos of Scout floats from other packs, just Google search: parade, float, scout. Then click on Images at the top of the window.)
Construction will begin early Sunday afternoon on May 24th at the Scout House. Line up for the parade is at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 25th. The parade kicks off at 2:00 PM.
We are also looking for a flat bed trailer to use for the pack float. A landscape trailer, or large, low walled trailer would be great. Please reply if the pack can use your trailer to proudly display the pack float in the parade.
